I ran into such a problem yesterday. There was a TP1200 at the customer site and it was necessary to connect two 1200 CPUs at the site. Originally, as far as hmi connection resources are concerned, this function is completely satisfactory.
The key to the problem is that the two CPUs are not in the same network segment! ! ! And you have to use it on the spot! , This is it. . .Well, think of a way first, after all, customers are God
When I think of equipment between different network segments for PN communication, the first reaction is to use Xijia’s PN coupler (PN/PN coupler V4.x order number: 6ES7158-3AD10-0XA0)
Try to configure it in TIA V16, the effect is as follows:

Topology view:
In fact, the above method is to set the IP address of the HMI and one of the CPUs in the same network segment, and then communicate between the two different network segments through the PN coupler, data exchange, and then the HMI is connected to it. The CPU reads the data of the two CPUs and indirectly realizes the purpose of communicating with the CPUs of two different network segments. This method should be feasible, because there is a lack of corresponding hardware at hand, and it will be updated after the customer’s on-site test to inform everyone of the results.
There is also a kind of equipment communication between different network segments, you can choose to use a switch with routing function, you can couple the equipment of different network segments together (not particularly professional, not sure whether the wording is appropriate), but due to the time relationship , This method has not had time to verify, wait until there is time to carry out the actual test.
I wonder if you guys, are there any good solutions to this situation?
