Wireless connection test expert MVG recently announced the launch of the multi-probe measurement system SG 3000M. SG 3000M is specially designed for full-size automotive antenna measurement and OTA testing. It can upgrade the existing anechoic chamber to antenna measurement and OTA testing equipment for connected vehicles.

In 5G technology, the cellular-based vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) will become a game changer in the automotive industry. While ensuring remote network communication (V2N), the possibility of directly connecting vehicles to other vehicles (V2V), infrastructure (V2I) and pedestrians (V2P) will drive the development of a variety of revolutionary services.
In order to meet the C-V2X’s high bandwidth and low latency requirements for mission-critical communications, antenna performance is critical to car manufacturers. From component evaluation to comprehensive OTA evaluation, the designed antenna is accurately and completely tested, and all integrated antennas can be adjusted and precisely aligned according to their supporting environment.
SG 3000M’s MV-Scan multi-probe technology and embedded over-sampling function ensure accurate and efficient antenna measurement. Its broadband coverage ranges from 200MHz to 10GHz, enabling it to support the development of most existing end-to-end test protocols for automotive connectivity.
The main advantages of SG 3000M:
– Full-size vehicle antenna measurement
– Mobile measurement system
– Cover large frequency bands from 200MHz to 10GHz
– Comprehensive understanding of the interaction between antenna and structure
– Link to simulation tool
