Pico Technology Ltd announces the launch of the PicoScope 6000E Series FlexRes™ oscilloscopes featuring 8 channels of 500 MHz bandwidth, 16 digital channels and 8, 10 or 12 bit ADC resolution hardware adjustable. This product works with the PicoScope 6 application software to take full advantage of the latest PC performance and Display capabilities to display clean and crisp waveforms on monitors of any size and resolution. The top-of-the-line PicoScope 6824E comes standard with two 5 GS/s analog-to-digital converters and 4 GS of capture memory. It offers a number of built-in tools for embedded system debugging, including DeepMeasure™ that captures every oscilloscope measurement over up to one million cycles.
When engineers debug complex IoT and embedded operating systems with mixed analog and digital elements, such as serial and parallel communication with high-speed low-voltage signals, 8+16 channels can solve a variety of challenges they face.
The FlexRes architecture allows the user to configure the hardware to optimize the sample rate to 5 GS/s at 8-bit resolution, or to a maximum of 1.25 GS/s at 12-bit resolution. For a variety of applications such as capturing and decoding fast digital signals or finding distortion in sensitive analog signals, the flexible and adjustable resolution allows the same oscilloscope to be used for a variety of measurements.
The advantage of deep capture memory is the ability to capture long duration events while maintaining a high sample rate, which means the oscilloscope can make better use of its bandwidth. The PicoScope 6824E with standard 4 GS memory can capture a 200 ms signal at a sampling rate of 5 GS/s, enabling a resolution of 200 picoseconds (1:1,000,000,000 ratio). Depth captures can be explored using the built-in waveform buffer navigator and magnified up to a million times using the zoom/pan controls.
The PicoScope 6000E Series uses PicoScope 6 PC software, which has been validated and has a common graphical user interface and is used by more than 100,000 people worldwide. It can display information in time domain, frequency domain and digital domain according to user needs. These include mask limit testing and user-defined alarms, as well as capture memory segmentation from 1 to 10,000. PicoScope 6 has been translated into 22 languages and can be used anywhere in the world.
In response to the massive increase in serial communication technology, PicoScope 6 includes decoders for 21 serial protocols as well as digital channel serial bus decoding. The latest added support protocols are BroadR-Reach (100BASE-T1) Automotive Ethernet, Manchester and DALI. We are developing more protocols and will deploy them as free updates in the future.
The PicoScope 6000E Series offers the best performance of an oscilloscope in its class, with all models having harmonic distortion better than –50 dB and exceeding 60 dB SFDR at 1 MHz (PicoScope 6824E). Baseline noise specification
The PicoScope 6000E further enhances its value by integrating a 200 MS/s arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) and a 50 MHz function generator with built-in sine, square, triangle, DC voltage, ramp-up, ramp-down, Gaussian, half-sine functions .
Pico Technology also introduced Pico’s Probe Holder System. It uses an innovative and flexible ‘gooseneck’ bracket that works perfectly with the Pico 2.5mm passive probes and is available with spring tips for all PicoScope 6000 Series oscilloscopes. Mounted on a mirror-polished steel base plate, the bracket is fitted with magnetic PCB posts with insulating washers to hold the device under test (DUT), addressing the need for robust and reliable connection of multiple probes to the DUT. long-standing problem.
Trevor Smith, Business Development Manager, Test and Measurement Products at Pico Technology commented, “The PicoScope 6000E will disrupt the end-of-line oscilloscope market. It provides a variety of new capabilities engineers need to debug and validate their next-generation Electronic designs. The oscilloscope’s better price/performance comes standard with many of the features that the competition offers as expensive upgrade options. Combined with the new probe holder system and proven PicoScope 6 software, this product is set to stand out.”
