Processor boards for touch displays can run Linux

“Engineers will often want to work with Linux-based software to develop their own graphic interfaces,” according to Berkshire-based distributor Inelco Hunter. “The MPU range supports popular Linux-based OS like Debian, Ubuntu, Buildroot and Yocto, and comes with connectivity such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Mini-PCIe, USB, RS232, UART, SPI, MIPI-CSI/DSI, I2C, Analog audio in/out and MicroSD card slot.”

Inelco is stocking the base board and the daughter boards, along with compatible touch displays from 5 to 10.1inch. “These processors provide fast response times and smooth 2D-3D graphics, plus full-HD multi-media playback and streaming capability,” it said.

It also offers engineering support, available to develop custom software and integrate hardware such as casings and camera modules.
